Last but definitely not least was the Givenchy show. The room was so impressive. In the middle there was a big,  grand organ and the show started with a man playing it beautifully. I absolutely loved this collection!! The details and shapes were so strong! The music was fat! It was truly one with the collection. Fred and I were seated next to Kanye West and across Anna Wintour herself!

Afterwards, we went backstage to greet Riccardo Tisci who is the Creative Director for Givenchy. The man had queues of people to greet and I’m sure his cheeks must of  been cramped from all the smiling.

Our night ended with an incredible Givenchy after party, it was surreal.

Now that I’m home I have a minute to reflect on our Paris adventure. One of the best parts about going to things was the people watching.  I love seeing people feeling expressive and confident about who they are and how they choose to dress. Personally, I find runway models and the extra lean, curve less body ideal quite unhealthy looking, and far from sexy. It reminds me of a walking skeleton with a beautiful face….oops.

Anyway, as much as I love Paris,  it feels pretty amazing to be home. The new studio build out is progressing. Erik has painted his room GOLD! Even the door!

More musings on our amazing time in Paris…

The next morning we went to one of my favorite japanese designers Tsumori Chisato. I have been a fan of her work for years! I was so excited and  she did not disappoint. The room was filled with big, striking chandeliers, the high ceilings met with gold walls red velvet curtains! A perfect room to record a video or live in as King or Queen.  After the show I met Tsumori- San and made a attempt  to speak some japanese to thank her for the invite.

Also bumped into Susie Bubble (my favorite fashion blogger), who seemed equally excited about the Tsumori show. Found out she was preparing to run a half marathon in San Fransisco for a Breast Cancer Campaign as she simultaneously attended  fashion weeks around the world! Go Susie! Donate below!

Next up was seeing my dear friend Kumiko Watari (Migh-T). Her new collection is so cute! It’s called “The Sky and the Sea” and I think Kumiko lives in her own universe of drawings.  I already have my eye on quite few favorite pieces!

Ended the night at Andrea Crews show which definitely stuck out. It was was a art performance/party vibe perfect for showing their new collection!

More on our time in Paris…

Next we saw Isabel Marant, a Parisian designer. It was a sexy collection! I spotted a couple pieces that I would wear on stage in a lightning flash!

After the Isabel Marant show we set off into the traffic jungle. It’s kind of like Paris Fashion week and Paris Traffic week! Felt pretty hilarious to have Domie, my sweet stylist and Marie, our fashion manager two petite beautiful french girls cursing at the cars on either side of me. I’m upset I didn’t secretly record those two! Fred and I stayed zen or maybe we were just un petit sleepy.

So we ran the last bit in our heels trying to catch the Maison Martin Margiela show! But just as we arrived we heard the music start and unfortunately we missed it by a minute!

Vanessa Bruno was beautiful, really  feminine and I loved the light long flowing dresses that simply made me think of romance and vacation. It was so pretty! I would like a beach, a full moon and a unicorn to go with one of those dresses please.

Fred and I hung out in Paris over the weekend for our first Fashion Week ever! It’s something I always wanted to do but never had time to experience before because of our tour schedules.

I’ve loved dressing up since I was a little girl so this was a bit of dream dress up party. I would take my mom’s skirts, make them into veils and dresses and let them take me into another world.  Maybe some you can relate to a similar kind of memory.

The first show I saw was for Gareth Pugh. It was so stunning!

It started raining as the show kicked in and I swore it was part of the music because it fit so well, but when I looked up at the glass roof I saw how it was the perfect coincidence. The show reminded me of a sci-fi dream. It brought me into the future and I wanted to connect a story to every piece.

Walking out of the building I got photographed by the legendary Bill Cunningham and I was so flattered! I watched his documentary on a flight earlier this year and it really moved me. What a inspirational man. If you’re interested in fashion its a must see! I felt like a fan  and wanted to run up to him and ask for a picture but  figured he was in his work flow and didn’t want interrupt .

Well, I snapped my own lil pap shot of him!
