I have a wide range of child-tested book lists created during my 30 years as a children's librarian.

With so many books out there, finding the right book can be an overwhelming experience. I can help you sort through the thousands of books produced every year to find the right ones for your specific needs. I'd be happy to create a customized book list for you. Here are some ideas:

Books to read aloud
Not all books are meant to be read aloud. Good read-aloud books have the right vocabulary, the right cadence and are able to sustain the interest of the audience. Most important of all, the reader must really enjoy the story.

Books for problem solving
The right book can help a child confront a problem they might be having, from anger, to stealing, to fear, to nightmares or just making friends.

Books by subject
Does your child have a favorite subject? Need help finding good books on Inuits, dinosaurs or jokes?
